Why I love my sonys

Ok, to be totally truthful, it is seldom that a product will get a five star rating from me. I have very high standards that I set for most objects and in this day and age the engineering is often overlooked in order to have more money for marketing.

A few months ago I lost my camera. It has and will continue to be much debated issue as to how this camera was lost (I blame my son, my wife blames me) but regardless, it was found last night.

I found it out in the yard. It being late April, the camera was out unprotected in the yard for a minimum of two and a half months. I’d say more like three. In this time we have had rain, freezing temperatures, snow and everything else that the Michigan weather can throw at you in spring.

This entire time my camera has lain face down in the raw elements.

I found it and at first did much dancing in joy. Then I thought well, that’s all well and good, but now I have a broken camera.

I dried it out thoroughly and recharged the still working battery. Told myself to wait till morning to make sure all the dew had worked its way out. Of course I didn’t and put the battery in it last night. It didn’t work.

This morning I thought I’d give it another go.

It worked.

Aside from a couple buttons that are acting a little buggy, it works brilliantly. It takes pictures.

So Sony, I’d like to thank you. You make one hell of a camera, amongst other things.
