attempt a refutation of the influence
of fate
but your life is a series of choices
and i do sincerely hope that you realize this
every moment stands at some precipice -
and from every choice
the opportunities can be endless
your past, is little; but the recollection
of bargains struck
with some goal in mind . . .

ok, this was written specifically to be performed on stage, at some venue where they allow strange creatures such as myself to stand before an audience and offer up slices of themselves with the particular phrasing and pauses (pregnant or not) that seem essential… but i hope y’all dig . . . peace
