i almost want to turn my flag right-side up,
you see, i’m the kind of nut-job who knows the U.S. flag code well enough to tell you that the flag is flown upside down in times of distress . . .
on the morning of November 5th, 2008, I’m proud to say that the only thing I have ever bought at Wal-Mart is my american flag,
and i’ve flown it proudly, up-side down because we have been in a time of distress . . . but there is still so much good here . . .
after a nervous day,
a walk through unseasonably warm weather,
a vote cast,
and sundry
i got to hear a speech that brought tears to my eyes, because that man was elected president
and now
i almost want to turn my flag right-side up
